The ‘R&D Center of Excellence for Integrated Microsystems’ started July 2007 as one of the Formation of Innovation Centers for Fusion of Advanced Technologies programs set up with special coordination funds for promoting science and technology, by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Tohoku University takes the lead as the main center for this research. more
